Synthesis and chemical characterization

At CNAP we offer services mainly related to synthesis and characterization of nanoscale materials with applications in the fields of energy, agro-industry, medicine, among others. CNAP has the following equipment for quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis:

  • Gas Chromatograph (GC), Clarus 590 model.
  • UV-VIS spectrophotometer, Spectroquant Prove 300 model.
  • Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer (H1-NMR), Spinsolve 60 model.
  • Glove box (controlled atmosphere chamber) Labconco.
  • Infrared Scanner with Fourier Transform (FT-IR), Spectrum UATR two PerkinElmer model.
  • DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) Analyzer.
  • Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA).
  • Potenciostat / galvanostat, Voltalab 10 model.

Computational calculation

CNAP has computational equipment to carry out modeling of molecular systems and simulation at the quantum and molecular mechanics level. We have the following equipment:

  • 2 Intel Xeon E5-2620 V3 servers 2.4 GHz of 12 core (24 threads) each one.
  • 2 intel i7 5960X servers 3.0 GHz 8 core (16 threads) and 2 nvidia GeForge GTX1080Ti GPUs (3584 cuda core) each.
  • 2 intel i7 4790 X servers 3.6 GHz 4 core (8 wires) and 1 nvidia GeForge GTX1080 GPU (2560 cuda core) each.
